What is Ashwagandha anyway?


Belonging to the Solanaceae family, scientifically called Withania somnifera, Ashwagandha, commonly referred to as the Indian ginseng, means the odor of a horse in Sanskrit. This robust plant is originally from India and grows in dry regions but can also withstand extreme temperatures ranging from 40°C to 10°C. 

Ashwagandha happens to have potential therapeutic abilities with no association, whatsoever, to the toxicity of the chemical constituents of the plant. A number of lab formations of Ashwagandha are proven to help get rid of musculoskeletal problems such as arthritis and rheumatism as well as boosting the overall body health.

By virtue of its natural composition, it is capable of keeping us healthy and fit in various ways. The Ashwagandha herb can help fight cancer, diabetes, asthma, stress, and rheumatism.
